Wednesday Night Fishing- July 1st, 2015 @ 6:00 pm

Hey All,

I know that some of you have been wanting to go back to Dodd Park for Wednesday Night Fishing and I agree that would be a great place to go, however, I feel that with all of the rain that we have had lately Dodd Park may not be in good shape right now. We did fish there several weeks ago and the water was high, stained, and the fishing was not so good. With the amount of rain that we have had recently, I think that river would be in similar shape. I propose that we stick to the smaller creeks, for now, until the rivers have had a chance to clear up a little. We have not yet been to Cobus Park this year and I am thinking we should give it a try. So, for this week’s Wednesday Night Fishing we will be fishing Cobus Creek at Cobus Park @ 6:00 pm to? Cobus Park is located on County Road 8 just east of Ash Rd (Elkhart- St. Joseph County Line) in Elkhart.

From South Bend/Mishawaka take Cleveland Rd. east to Ash Rd. Turn right (south) on Ash Rd to County Road 8. Turn left (east) on County Road 8 to Cobus Park.

I hope to see you there!

Todd

Wednesday Night Fly Fishing-June 24th @ 6:00 pm

Hey all,

This week we are going to fish on the Dowagiac Creek at Griffis Rd.  in Cassopolis, MI.

Directions can be a little tricky as I do not have an address for you to plug into a GPS. So, here are the “old school” directions from downtown Cassopolis, MI. go one block east on M-60 to Okeefe Rd then north 4 miles to Kelsey Lake Rd. Turn right (east) on Kelsey Lake Rd and take it 1 mile to Griffis Rd. Turn left (north) on Griffis Rd and go 1.5 miles to where Griffis Rd crosses over the Dowagiac Creek. Park along the side of the road.

I hope to see you there!

Todd

Wednesday Night Fishing- June 10th, 2015 @ 6:00 pm

Hey All,

This week we will be beautiful Buchanan, MI. to fish on the McCoy Creek.  There is a parking lot and trail to the creek on Woodside Drive west of Schirmer Parkway just north of E. Front Street (aka Niles Buchanan Road). The trail down to the river runs parallel to a little tributary creek.  Like the Brandywine it has lots of small pools and tight fishing.

I hope to see you there!
