Jordan Carter was born in South Florida where he fished the keys and Everglades with his father. They moved to Indiana where he started to fly fish. He caught his first steelhead at the age of 12 and has been addicted ever since. He started guiding in AK when he was 19 and plans on going back as long as he can. He will be spending this winter in Key West….. fishing.
After graduating from Purdue, Jordan grabbed his gear and headed north, Guiding for Rainbow Point Lodge in Lake Iliamna, Alaska. Looking for the largest rainbows on the planet? This is THE place. The size and aggressiveness of their “leopard bows” compelled the State of Alaska to designate their home water, the Copper River, as a “fly fishing, catch and release only, trophy rainbow river,” a designation that has kept the fishing spectacular. Come hear Jordan’s amazing tales of the north country.
