Meetings

SJRVFF meets eight times a year between September and May. Check out the latest newsletter for specific details of an upcoming meeting. Meetings between September and April are held at the Juday Creek Golf Course Clubhouse (map).

Socializing begins around 6:30pm with a club member tying a fly pattern. Dinner starts at 7:00pm and the guest speaker will begin after a short business meeting usually around 8:00pm.

Speakers will present for about 1-2 hours at the most. SJRVFF strives to bring in the best educational speakers on the art of fly fishing and water conservation in the area and from around the country.

The May meeting is held at the Elkhart Conservation Club’s small cabin off Britt Ave. See map

We have five special meetings:

November is when we hold elections and all members in good standing are welcome to participate.

December is our award meeting, where we honor those for their service to the club.

January is when we ask members to vote on the club budget as presented in the newsletter. Don’t worry we don’t bore our members with formal business during the meeting; it goes quick so we can get to the speaker of the night.

April is our club auction, this where we have a good time and raise the main funds that have kept this club going for so many years. Bring your check book and a friend!

May is our members’ appreciation meeting, which dinner and a raffle ticket is free to members. This meeting is held outside at the Elkhart Conservation Club.
