Rob Fightmaster

Rob Fightmaster is the owner and primary guide, Fightmaster Fly Fishing where they offer guided wade trips to roadside and backcountry destinations in Great Smoky Mountains National Park and surrounding areas.  Float trips on a number of area tailwaters are also provided.

Rob is an Instructor at Little River Outfitters School of Fly Fishing, freelance writer and regular columnist for The Contemporary Sportsman. With his knowledge of fishing in the Smoky Mountains he Authored “Hatch & Fly Guide: Smoky Mountains and Southern Appalachians.”

Rob is a custom fly tyer with patterns currently available at Little River Outfitters and soon available at www.fightmasterflyfishing.com. Consultant for current and prospective resorts, fly fishing lodges, and sporting properties with current and/or former clients from North Carolina to British Columbia. Listed as “One of the South’s Best Fishing Guides” by Garden and Gun Magazine, Rob was the former Fly Fishing Program Director at Blackberry Farm from 2000 – 2006.  Where he created, developed, and managed fly fishing program responsible for an unprecedented two consecutive Orvis Endorsed Lodge of the Year accolades.
 

He has also been featured over the years in numerous local, regional, and national publications and on a variety of fly fishing related television programs.
